LA looks like a zombie apocalypse and we're giving $14 Billion to foreign governments?

Though it is worth noting that it is government spending that caused this. So while I'm not for giving money to Israel, if we were to take that money and give it to LA instead the problem would be worse.
The problem is welfare. A job and a requirement to take care of yourself keeps people from entering a path of permanent downward spiral. And when not having a job means certain death by economic means people maintain whatever habits are needed to keep a job.
A safety net just helps people dive bomb the net and bring their life so low so fast no safety net can actually save them.
