"I think these results suggest that the Cold War mentality is over," says Reason-Rupe polling director Emily Ekins. "Americans don't feel like we need to get involved in every international conflict that's going on in order to protect our interests."
Ekins sat down Reason TV to discuss the portion of the results from the April Reason-Rupe poll focused on opposition to military intervention in Ukraine.
The poll found that Americans believe that six out of 10 Americans oppose military intervention in Ukraine, and that even if Russia were to further invade the country, most Americans still say they wouldn't want the U.S. military involved. Only 32 percent of respondents opposed stronger economic sanctions, however.
