The Libertarian party convention kicks off this weekend in Orlando, where delegates will choose party leadership and the LP's presidential nominee. There are many contenders, including former New Mexico governor Gary Johnson, cybersecurity software entrepreneur John McAfee, and libertarian activist and writer Austin Petersen.
With the major parties set to nominate two of the most disliked candidates in history, and interest in the Libertarian Party surging, how might the LP impact this year's presidential race? Initial polling is already showing Johnson grabbing 10 to 11 percent of the vote in a three-way match-up with Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
